Red or Brown with that?
Ratbo made a very good point when he tweeted his congratulations (thak you 'Ratbo') for the new design of our recyclable Squeezy Bottles. If, like me, you occasionally indulge in the healthy produce of a burger van lurking outside a DIY store, or the approaching season of bratwursts at various Christmas Fairs across the country - we are asked: "do you want red, white or brown with that love."
They probably call it 'red' because it's not crammed with 200g of sweet Italian tomatoes, simmered down into every thick 100g of Award Winning Stokes Tomato Ketchup
It's 'white' because it isn't made with free range British eggs, flakes of sea salt from the Dead Sea, beautiful rapeseed oil and finished by drizzling extra virgin olive oil from the Koroneiki olives of Crete to create Stokes Real Mayonnaise
And 'brown' because it's not a lush 'grownup' sauce, rich with extra date puree, sweet with black treacle and heady with a unique blend of Persian spices - because it's not Stokes Brown Sauce.

Here's a timely reminder about the joys of a weekend roast, a delicious meal shared with all the family - phones down and conversation up. Find out more about the joys of the Sunday Roast in our recent Newsletter article - 'Autumn Roasts & Roots' - HERE.

Oh boy, look at this. Who says simple isn't best - half a baguette, Stokes Fig Relish and goats cheese, under the grill ... and 'wow'. If you haven't tried our Fig Relish, you've missed a beauty - a sweet fig relish with a slight tartness, brimming with marinated dried figs (60%), with cider vinegar and molasses, it's a joy.
