We have a competition winner

Congratulations Carrie Booth

http://www.stokessauces.co.uk/page/sauces/ketchup-and-saucesCarrie can probably feel the heat of the Mediterranean sunshine and hear the rustling leaves in the Cretan olive groves already.

She is off to the sunny island of Crete having won Stokes Real Mayonnaise competition. Carrie will discover the source of the extra virgin olive oil that makes our mayonnaise so special.

"I am absolutely delighted to be going to Crete and to visit the olive groves." said Carrie. "As a loyal customer of stokes sauces for years, it was such a wonderful surprise to win. Thank you Stokes."

Well thank you Carrie, both for enjoying Stokes products and for entering the competition.

All because the lady loved ... Stokes Real Mayonnaise

http://www.stokessauces.co.uk/category/mayonnaise

It's grown with love, harvested with a passion and pressed to extra virgin olive oil with joy
...and makes yummy egg mayonnaise too!

Why Crete?

http://www.stokessauces.co.uk/product/mayonnaise/real-mayonnaiseWe tried over 30 different Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOOs) before choosing a producer in Crete, home of the amazing Koroneiki olive.

Koroneiki olive trees produce a small olive but in abundance. They create an intense, rich green oil with a uniquely exquisite flavour and boast some of the highest polyphenol content possible, boasting powerful health benefits.

After testing endless permutations, we found that by adding 5% Cretan Koroneiki extra virgin olive oil to our mayonnaise, it made it good enough and us proud enough to call it Stokes Real Mayonnaise.

It is this mayonnaise that allows the king of burgers to wear his own crown and the humble prawn to feel like the queen of lobsters in her velvet coat of white.
