Stokes is for sharing
The patio furniture has had more use in the past five weeks than it had in the previous five years.
As the summer goes on we have really enjoyed having supper outside and often with friends.
We've had more than our fair share of amazing barbecues, but often it's nice just to sit and chat with a drink and a few dips being passed around.
If you are planning to invite guests over this weekend, you might like to add one or two of these tasty dips to your repertoire of dips, snacks and nibbles.
Dips to die for...
...with a little help from Stokes
All good dips start with a reliable base - and there's nothing more reliable than Stokes Real Mayonnaise. Made with eggs from British free range hens, British rapeseed oil and additional extra virgin olive oil from the Koroneiki olive groves of Crete giving it its exceptional velvety depth.
Put a few spoonfuls of our mayonnaise in a bowl and ... just add:
- Add Stokes Dijon Mustard to make simple cocktail sausages sing.
- Add Bloody Mary Ketchup to dress prawns in Bloody Mary Rose Sauce.
- Add Creamed Horseradish for velvety warmth in a crudités dip.
- Add Sweet Chilli Sauce to dip mini meatballs and falafels.
- Add Mustard & Dill Sauce to dip goujons of cod.
- Add crème fraîche, Coronation Sauce and chopped tarragon for pure wow.
- Add Chipotle Ketchup for a Chipotle sauce.
- Add Dijon Mustard and lemon juice for a delicious remoulade.
- Add thin slices of crisp streaky bacon and chopped spring onions for 'baconaise'.
Some other tasty thoughts...
Stokes Mustard & Dill Sauce is a classic gravadlax - perfect with smoked salmon and alongside
poached salmon.
Stokes Cider & Horseradish Mustard is as beautiful as it is versatile. Mix it with some runny honey as a dip for cocktail sausages.
For the perfect, speedy Coronation Chicken, mix two parts Stokes Coronation Sauce to one part cream cheese to coat shreds of cooked, cold chicken. Instant, smooth and oh
so full of flavour. Try serving it in a little gem leaf wrap.
For a great dipping sauce, try Stokes Coronation Sauce with creme fraiche with plenty of chopped fresh chives... fab - u - lous!

Fig & olive tapenade
Chop green and black pitted olives; mix into Stokes Fig Relish and thin with a little mayonnaise.
Smoked trout & horseradish
Spread Stokes Real Mayonnaise on a toasted slice of baguette; top with a slice of smoked trout, a dollop of Stokes Creamed Horseradish and a caper to finish.
Chilli Salsa
Chop tomatoes (seeds out), cucumber, red pepper, red onion, fresh coriander and combine with freshly squeezed lime juice and a spoonful or two of Stokes Chilli Jam.
Chipotle prawns
Mix 1 tbsp of Stokes Chipotle Ketchup with 3 tbsp of Stokes Garlic Mayonnaise and scoop into a mini poppadom. Place a juicy prawn on top with a squeeze of lime and a gentle tap of cayenne pepper.
Cheers everyone
